Sisters here!!

We decided that traveling on a plane with a 4mth old baby could be quite a challenge for me to do alone so we flew my sister to California for a few days. That way when Reagan and I flew home sister would be there to help out! She was only in town for 4 days and the time flew by. We basically just Christmas shopped and ate!

I realize now more than ever that I will never again travel lightly. Granted we were packed for 2 weeks, but the amount of stuff we had was amazing. Between us girls we had a diaper bag, 2 carry ons, a car seat, a stroller and 2 big luggage's! Everything went great on the flight, we weren't delayed any Reagan did wonderful and no one else sat next to us so we had an open seat for Reagan to play.

Once we arrived in Houston we gathered all our things, went to the baggage claim to collect my bag, carried ALL our stuff to the parking garage, found sisters car, loaded the car, installed the car seat, drove towards the exit to pay and realized......WE FORGOT SISTERS BAG AT BAGGAGE CLAIM!!! With all the stuff we had we didn't realize we were missing a bag! So we pulled over into a handicap parking spot and ran back into the airport heading towards baggage claim. Sister was circling around our carousel panicking because all the luggage's we gone! I just happen to see a guy wheeling a stack of unclaimed bags and notice that hers is on there. She runs over to the guy to tell him that was hers. He asks for her ticket and she realizes its in her jacket pocket, so then he needs an id. She pulls out her wallet and it's also in her jacket.....IN THE CAR!! Finally, she shows him her credit card and off we go with her luggage. PHEW!! At last, off we go with all our bags. We had such a fun trip, I don't know what I would have done without all her help. I love her so much!

Christmas in Balboa Park

This past Sunday we decided to take Reagan around Balboa Park to look at all the Christmas decorations. We had heard it was a big production with lights, musicals and tons of little gifts shops. Online it said that over 300,000 people had visited the park on Saturday and Sunday alone! It was such a nice day and we figured it was probably best to take Reagan during the day then at night. She would have loved all the lights, but beings it is getting colder outside, we can't have her get sick before we go home for the holidays!

One Year Ago....

Almost one year ago, around this time, I began to realize there was a possibility I was pregnant. I remember feeling a little different and talking to my sister about it. At the time we were living in Panama and my sister was working at the Chamber of Commerce for College Station. Back in those days we spent the whole day talking on gmail chat while she worked and I passed the time until Darrin got home.

I remember telling her that I thought I was pregnant. I wasn't totally sure, but I was kinda thinking I was. We began looking up baby things and talking about how fun it would be. We were getting a little excited looking at all the adorable things that we could buy for a baby. Of course, since we weren't trying and it wasn't planned, there were tons of emotions to be felt at one time!

About a week went by and I really started to feel different. It was December 13th and we attended a Christmas party for Darrin's work at the Panama Canal. After eating lunch, I remember feeling so incredibly HOT and starting feeling a little sick to my stomach. I of course complained to Darrin for a bit and then moved on. I think I told him I thought I was pregnant that night, but he kinda shrugged it off like I wasn't serious.

So the next day rolled around and I decided that as soon as Darrin got home from work we were going to get a test! He got home from work and I was literally standing at the front door ready to go. We went to the little store up the street and bought 2 tests. We came home and immediately I took one and sure enough IT WAS POSITIVE!! I WAS PREGNANT!! We couldn't believe it, we were shocked!! I took the other test a few minutes later and it confirmed, WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!

I decided to write about this moment because I remember it like it was yesterday and already it has been a year. So much has happened this year and I have been incredibly blessed. Today Reagan is already 4 months and I continue to love her more and more everyday. There really is nothing greater than becoming a Mommy, the feeling is totally unexplainable. I am so lucky to have such a healthy and precious little girl. I love you Reagan Marie and I am so lucky to be your Mommy!
