ASI Gymnastics

MacKenna, who lives next door, goes to ASI on Monday nights and invited Reagan to come along with her tonight. I wasn't sure how she would do, but as long as I am there with her I figured she would do fine. Especially since MacKenna would be there too. She absolutely loved it. She just jumped right in and participated in everything they did. I wanted get out my camera but no other mom's had theirs out, so I decided not to. However, next week I am! It was so cute. We signed her up so now she gets to go every Monday night!

A Tough Week

This past week was a rough a one. I am still trying to adjust to having 2 kids, in the house all day, with one who no longer naps and is also in her terrible 2's. I think I cried everyday at some point last week. For the first few weeks Grayson was my perfect angel baby, then all of a sudden, last week he so fussy. He wouldn't nap at all during the day and he just wanted to be held. Our night help suggested that I have his stool tested for allergies and also find out if he was developing acid reflux.

So the next day I called our peditrition's office to find out if they test for allergies. Which they don't. I mentioned that I had switched him to formula since the last time the doctor had seen him and that I thought he might have acid reflux. They told me to go ahead and come on in. Since they said they didn't do the allergy test at their office, I didn't bring the dirty diaper I had saved. Needless to say poor guy had to get a rectal exam. (I guess is what it's called) She had to get some stool to test for blood. Poor thing, he screamed so loud. I would have brought the diaper had I known that!

Come to find out there was a little blood, which meant more than likely he has a milk allergy. She told me I could wait to see if it gets better, (uh, no) I could try going soy to see if that works, (maybe) or I could just switch him to a prescription formula that is milk free. (yes, done) So, now I am in the works to get this prescription covered under our insurance because it is 46 dollars a can! And I need 2 cans a week. She also wrote a prescription for his acid reflux.

On top of that Reagan has been really testing me lately and throwing more and more tantrums It's even worse when I can't get Grayson to go down for a nap. When I can get him down, I can spend the one on one time with her that she needs. Since Gray wasn't napping this week, Reagan was terrible. By mid day, were all crying and the weekend couldn't get here fast enough.

I know they are called the terrible 2's for a reason, but Reagan is exhausting. I didn't see these tantrums from her until Grayson was born. She would throw fits, but these tantrums are terrible. It's hard being consistent with her because I don't just have her anymore. I try, but I don't always have the time. I am still learning the best discipline methods for her and trying to figure out what works best for us. But she is definitely my tough one and I'm sure she'll always be.

I also realize that I don't spend near as much time with Grayson as I did with Reagan as a newborn. I laugh now because when Reagan was a baby I remember feeling like it was the hardest thing I have ever done. Which was true, at the time. However, now I laugh because newborns are so easy. Two is HARD. Not only the 2 stage, but having two. I was used to picking up and going, having time for myself and not having to multitask near as much as I do now. And don't even get me started on how much I have to pack JUST to leave the house!

I know that as the time goes by we will get more adjusted and I won't even remember how hard it was. We will move on and there will become something else to worry about. Soon they will be fighting over toys, copying each other, hitting and kicking and chasing each other around the house and I will wish they were small again. By then we will be probably be talking about having another one and then I will think holy moly, 2 was so easy!

Spring Break

Our spring break was very eventful. My sister came in town for a few days and it seemed like there was something planned for everyday. She got in town Monday afternoon and we went to Chick fil lay for lunch. We had kinda a low key day, however, we did hit up Target and Marshalls.

Reagan was showing off for Aunt Mae Mae at the Chick fil lay playground. We didn't spend to much time in there beacuse that place always fills up fast. It goes from being 2 kinds in there to 20 in no time. Reagan kept saying, "it's to loud."

Afterwards we just came home and hung out. I enjoyed the company and help during the day and we did some playing outside.

That night was pizza night. Every monday we make homeade pizza and watch the bachelor. Tonight was even better because it was the finale! Reagan loves to help make the pizza.

She looks like a chef in all this white!

While Paw and Reagan finished the pizza, Nonna rocked Grayson to sleep.

So sweet.

The next day we had all planned to go to the Arboredum. They were having a tiny tots event so we took the kids. Reagan loves Maverick. Even though he is not much younger than her, she treats him like he is so little. She loves to love and hug on him.

BFF's

Reagan looks like such a big girl in this picture.

And of course, who else does Reagan always want to be with besides me? Dylan!! As long as Dylan is around she is happy. He is the greatest babysitter. Of course they have their moments, but for the most part, lately they have been wonderful together.

Maverick was running all over the place and managed to fall in the only mud pile there. He did not like it at all! Luckily it was a little chilly, so he had two shirts. Phew!

So cute.

Again, so cute.

And even cuter!

Gray did really good, I had him in the stroller and he slept for the most part. Towards the end he got a little a little fussy, so I changed him and fed him and he was good to go.

Wednesday Reagan spent the day with Aunt Tricia and Dylan while my sister and I shopped all day. I was in desperate need of some help with my wardrobe and sister came to the rescue. It was kinda hard to shop because I am not totally back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I still have about 7 more pounds to go, but I wanted to buy things that would fit me now and also when I lose the rest of the weight, which is tough to do. It's so funny how I can shop all day with a newborn now and it's easy, but when Reagan was a newborn I thought it was so hard. We shopped from 10am to around 4pm and Gray was up the whole time. For some reason he was being difficult that day, but that didn't stop me from shopping. And it was no big deal. A woman commented on how he must be my second child. She said I looked so calm, not like a first time mom. I thought that was so true, the second time around it is totally different. I joke that I can tackle anything as long as I just have one kid. I don't care which one, as long as I only have one!

Thursday I left Grayson with Honey and took Reagan to the zoo. Apparently everyone else had the same idea. The line just to exit from the highway was pack up and the parking line was crazy. It look us about an hour just to get inside the zoo. Once we were in we didn't have to wait in line because the McCoys's have season passes, we just walked on in!

We didn't stay too long and I didn't really get any good pictures. It was not Reagan's day. She just wasn't into it for some reason. She wanted to be held the entire time, wasn't interested in looking at any animals and was just being a 2 year old. So we left early and headed back home. I did manage to get a few brother/sister St. Patty's day pictures.

Friday Darrin was here and we went to Chucke Cheese with Honey, Tricia and Dylan. For some reason I didn't take any pictures. Honey has some on her camera, but I don't have them yet.

Then Saturday we spend the day over at the Fitzgerald's. Their little boy was turning 2 and had a birthday party for him. We had a blast. It was a Mickey party and Micky showed up to entertain the kids. Reagan didn't want to much to do with him at first, but once he started with the hokey pokey she was lovin' it. She is a hokey pokeying queen right now! The party ended at 5 but we stayed until 8:30. We were all having such a good time. Again, no pictures. I don't really know why. I guess I was just enjoying my time talking and hanging out!

Sunday we hung out at the Snider's all day and grilled out. Darrin had a friend come over and we just relaxed outside. Congrats to Shawn and Stefanie who got engaged this week!
