Reagan's First Movie!

Tonight Reagan and I went to the movie with Tricia and Dylan. I've thought about taking her a few times before, but since she doesn't watch movies at home, I didn't think it would work. However, as long as we have Dylan, I can usually get her to do anything.

We went to see Gnomeo & Juliet in 3D. Sadly, it was not only Reagan's first movie, but my first 3D movie. She did great. We had popcorn, candy and coke which helped. About halfway through the movie she said she was ready to go. She kept saying, "I wanna talk." As soon as I packed up our stuff she remembered the popcorn and was good for the rest of the movie.

I haven't seen a movie in forever so it was fun to get out and see one. I wasn't sure if I should put Reagan in her panties for the movie, so I put her in a pull up. After the movie I knew she had to use the restroom, she drank almost a whole large coke herself. Which meant I had my very first experience with Reagan using public restrooms. Oh my, I need to get better at it. Reagan is used to sitting on her potty and she had her hands all over the toilet. So gross. But she did great, she didn't have an accident and she went as soon as we got over to the McCoys. Looks like we might be going to the theater more often!

Potty Update

Potty training has been going great! She's had one or two accidents a day this week and on Tuesday she went poo poo for the first time. Which is HUGE!!! Reagan is weird about going in her diaper, she holds it, so I didn't think she would go poo poo for a while. To my surprise, she went! But what's even better than that.....today she was accident FREE!!!!!!

That means no tee tee to clean up!!! No wet panties!!! And no diapers!!! She went this morning in the potty before we left. I decided to put her in a diaper because I didn't know how long we were going to be out. We were gone from 9:30 - 2 and when we got home her diaper was dry. I put her on the potty right away and she went! The rest of the day she went in the potty and there were no accidents!!!! (let's just hope it wasn't a fluke!)

I have so many cute pictures of her sitting on the potty, but for some reason she is naked. Darrin would kill me if I posted them, so I guess I won't. Instead I will just post some cute ones of her swinging yesterday in the backyard.

Tee Tee in the Potty!

Wahoo! I can not describe the feeling watching Reagan go tee tee in the potty for the first time. I was so proud I could have just cried! Silly I know, but that's a huge accomplishment!

I wasn't planning on starting potty training this weekend, it just happened. Two nights before, she woke up crying when her diaper was wet. I realized she was not wanting to leave her diaper on if it was wet so it might be time. Then last night she held it all night and woke up dry. I knew she had to go so I sat her on the potty right away. We waited and waited and waited and finally about 30 minutes later she went!! I decided it was time, no turning back and straight into panties she went!

Since I am writing this on Monday night (3 nights later) I can update how the rest of the weekend went. We had a busy weekend so it was kinda hard to focus completely on the potty training, but she did pretty good. Friday she went twice on the floor and that night she had 1 accident outside. Saturday she tee teed twice in the potty, once on the floor and once in the swimming pool. (it was so cute, she looked over at me and said, "I'm going tee tee.") I couldn't help but laugh, I'm sure it won't be the last time she goes in the pool! Sunday morning she tee teed in potty and may have had 1 accident, the rest she went in the potty. And then today she went potty 3 times and had only one accident!!! Tonight we were outside and she was a little squirmy, I brought her in and she went tee tee right away. I could tell she was holding it, which was great.

So hopefully we are getting somewhere. It's hard work and very frustrating sometimes, but when she's goes, it's so worth it.

Wish us luck, I hope this isn't too long of a process!

Not a whole lot going on lately. If we don't go to the park or to April's house for a playdate, or to Chick fil lay, we are usually home. There aren't many places I want to go that is worth getting out of the house with 2 kids. Luckily the weather has been great so we are able to spend time outside. We are doing much better with all the adjusting. Gray is napping during the day, Reagan is almost back to normal (as normal as you can be for an almost 3 year old) and I am getting better with 2 kids. I think after 2 months we are finally back into the swing of things.

And most of the days we do this. Reagan holds baby brother. She must ask me 500 times a day to hold him. I will say she is TONS better. I don't worry as much when she is holding him, but I do sit closely. I can tell she is going to be such a big help, she already feeds him, tries to change his diaper and is a pro at giving him his pacy.
