Swine Flu

I have been following the news pretty closely watching to see how much the Swine Flu is spreading. Some say it is blown up by the media, but I am not sure what to think about it. At first others were saying it was a tactic scare and that everyone was overacting, now they are saying it's the governments fault for taking 8 days to get information out. If they didn't warn people, people would say no one did anything about it, when they try to get the info out about it it is a tactic scare. Anywho, here is the latest information from the news today...

Raised the threat level to 5
Health officials are contemplating on whether or not to raise a pandemic to its highest level
2,500 sick; 159 dead in Mexico
130 U.S. cases in 18 states
10 confirmed cases in San Diego and 7 probable
Over 300 schools closed
School Scare in SDSU because of a student with Swine Flu - possibility of closing but not confirmed
Ships docking to San Diego to avoid from Mexico
Mexico City is shut down -schools, restaurants, pools, movie theaters, etc.
Drug stores are sold out of the masks
Border shut down poll - 75% yes, 25% no

I'm sure all this info changes constantly, all I know is Darrin is off for the next 5 days!! WA-HOO!!Wonder what we are going to do?? Guess we should look into buying masks, 5 days in the house = IMPOSSIBLE!!

As soon as Tricia stepped of the plane Dustin (her husband) handed her a piece of paper. It was her TeXes test results that she had been waiting for!!!! She.......DRUM ROLL............................. PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!! WA-HOO!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know you studied so hard for it!!!! What a way to complete a great weekend!!!

Day 5 - Bye Bye Tricia & Dylan

Their last day we decided to hit up the mall for one last time. Trish had to make sure there wasn't anything else there that she needed! I think she actually bought Dylan a whole new wardrobe, with only getting herself a few new things, but you can't leave Cali empty handed!

We got back home and just wanted to make sure everything was packed and ready in order for their flight to go smoothly. DVD player fully charged...check, snacks....check, juice....check those were the most important things needed for a successful flight and they were ready.

We had so much fun with the Dylan monster. He is talking so much and is so fun to play with. Reagan and him did really well together, with the exception of Dylan wanting ALL the toys. He didn't understand why Reagan was so close to the toys HE was playing with! Being around them makes me realize what it would be like with two and I can simply say, its ALOT of work!! Man, something is always going on and if I was to ever be so lucky to have both nap at the same time, I might have a chance for myself. Like maybe brush my teeth, take a bath or just do whatever I want to or feel like doing! With that being said, I can not wait to have more!! But don't be mistaken...I do not have baby fever!

Day 4 Continued...

Oops, I guess I was so tired last night when I was blogging that totally forgot about going to the beach on day 4. After we went to the Wild Life Park we decided to run home and let the kids (and adults) nap so we could go to the beach to watch the sunset. We STILL hadn't taken Dylan to the beach, which was number one on our to do list. We got all these fun toys for him and Reagan to play with and because of the cloudy weather, we couldn't go! We decided just to bundle up and go for it. Since Dylan didn't like the sand at the park, we didn't know what he would think of the beach. We knew he would love the waler (water) but as far as the sand, he was not interested!

Once he got out the the water he was fine. He had is new giraffe and baby giraffe (which was really a zebra but to him it was a baby giraffe) and even though the water was cold he loved it! Everything was going great, Dylan was standing in the ocean watching the small waves, completely dry, then all of a sudden he was knocked on his bottom and his whole backside was soaked!! Poor thing, it was so cold out there and now he was wet! He was fine though, we played around a little bit more and then went and had the BEST most WONDERFUL ice cream I have ever had!! Delicious! Luckily, we were able to set under some heaters which helped to keep us warm while we ate. mmmm, so good!!

Day 4 - Wild Life Park

My favorite day for sure, the Wild Life Park. This place was so cool! We went on a little African tour and saw all the different animals in their habitats. It was another day of tons of walking but the animals at the Wild Life Park are WAAY better than the ones at Sea World! Dylan loved all the animals and would get upset when it was time to leave one to go to the next. We had to keep telling him we were going to see something else! Reagan well....she was just along for the ride! Before we left we became members so we could go back and take different tours. We got free passes for the next time someone comes to visit and passes for the Zoo!! Wa-hoo!! Come see us and we will take you to the Zoo and Wild Life Park!!

Day 3 - Sea World

Today we took Dylan & Reagan (well really just Dylan, Reagan had no idea where she was) to Sea World! Darrin got off early so we decided to see what the Sea World here was like. It was OK, not as exciting as I remember, not to mention super crowded! Dylan LOVED watching the Shamu show, he was mesmerized. You can see his facial expression in the pictures below, that's how he was the entire show. He kept saying..."there he is," and point to him. Absolutely adorable! We had fun but by the end of the day our dogs were barking. That place is huge and there is so much walking to do! Lucky kids, I wish I could have been pushed around in a stroller!
