Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day over at Tim and Tache's house. They recently moved and have been working on the backyard. Tim needed Darrin's help installing a BBQ grill, so the girls just hung out. We went to the border mall because they just opened up a Victoria's Secret Outlet store and I got 3 swimsuit tops, a bottom and a beach bag for 30 dollars! It was crazy in there. The prices were so cheap! Afterwards we went across the street to Kmart looking for a little pool for Reagan and Nicky to play in. We found the perfect one and the girls had a blast. Reagan loves playing with Nicky (their 10 year old daughter) she thinks she is so funny and she is really good with entertaining her.

We had such a good time. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed great company!

For some reason she was so excited about squeezing water out of the ball. She just thought it was so cool!

A + For Reagan

For the month of May, My Gym was doing a client appreciation and allowed the kids to come to an additional class for free. Usually Reagan attends her class on Friday from 9:15 to 10:15 and any other time we go it's just for a Free Play. However, we took advantage of the free class and we have been going Tuesdays as well. Reagan loves going and can see huge improvements in her especially in the past week. I even had a lady ask me how old Reagan was and tell me that she is such a good girl. (talk about melt my heart)

She has been paying attention so well lately and she follows along with the instructor. During circle time she sits right next to me and does exactly what she is supposed to. For one activity we practice, "bounce and bounce, and bounce and bounce" with our arms out, Reagan does it and says it right along with them. We also practice, "up and down, and up and down," "side to side, side to side." She just sits there doing what she is supposed to do, saying the motions as we do them. Before I would either have to do the motions for her, or she would try to get up and run off from being in the circle.

Then there are a few different activities: front rolls, swinging on different trapeze, going through obstacles and she is always the first to want to try out the new activity. If the instructor asks if there is a volunteer who would like to help demonstrate, Reagan always runs over to them. (Unless it is the owner who is helping instruct that day. He is a guy and she just isn't quite sure about him yet.) Otherwise, she is first to want to try out the activity. Before she would cling on to me, she could careless about trying the activity and I had to try and convince her to participate.

I am just so proud when I watch her at the gym. You can really tell she loves it there and it makes me happy to see her improve. Since May is over, we can only go once a week again so I am looking for other things to fill up our schedule. So far we found a Toddler Time at the YMCA every Tuesday and at the end of June we will start swimming lessons!

Disneyland

We all woke up at different times this morning. Darrin was up and out the door around 7 o'clock, he went down to look for a continental breakfast, drink some coffee and read the paper. Sister woke up around 7:30 to start getting ready, I was up around 8 and Reagan finally woke up around 8:30. I was so surprised because we were making (quietly making) noise in the room and she still managed to stay sleeping. She is like me when it comes to sleeping and we are not morning people. So I wanted her to get to sleep in as long as she could because I was unsure of how her nap would go beings we would be at Disney all day.

Once she got up she was in a great mood, Darrin was back and we were all ready to head out for the day. Since our hotel was so close we just walked to Disney. Darrin was giving Sister and I a hard time for not wearing tennis shoes. We tried explaining to him that we aren't really "tennis shoe wearers" but he didn't seem to understand the concept of looking cute over comfort.

We had a wonderful, wonderful time! There is no way we could have done everything, however we did do a lot in just one day. We went to both Disneyland and California Adventure Park and after we had walked 10 hours both sister and I looked at each other and quietly said "my feet are KILLING me, shhhh don't tell Darrin."

After we waited in line for about 10 minutes and it was our turn to get a picture with him, they told us Goofy would be taking a break and would be back. So Darrin snapped this as he was walking off.

This was at It's a Small World, which was so cool. We were all amazed at the amount of detail that is involved and how real it all seems.

Toontown was my favorite at Disneyland. Once again the detail is just amazing and it was so neat to see all the characters in their houses.

Sister and I were waiting to see Minnie Mouse and Darrin took Reagan on a walk. Waiting with an almost 2 year old isn't so easy. It was almost our turn so I was looking around to try and find them and here is what I saw. Reagan was jumping up and down and smiling right at Minnie's fence. She was saying, " hi mouse! hi mouse! hi mouse!" over and over again and waving, it was so cute.

I made her entire outfit! I have made the skirts before but never the shirt. So here is my very first outfit!

These might be some of my most favorite pictures ever. We rode the Tea Cups and honestly at first, I was thinking might be a little to much for Reagan. I didn't know what she would think about all the spinning, but she loved it and as soon as they stopped she said, "another."

Aunt Mae Mae watched Reagan so Darrin and I could ride a ride. I can't remember the name of the ride, Hotel something, but it was so cool. You go in and they tell you a horror story, you get inside an elevator, sit down and it drops floors. After a few stories the doors open and there is a scene and then it drops again. I am not a fan of riding rides, I am a wimp but this one was fun. Scary, but fun!

When we got back this is what they were doing. She had gotten Reagan a smoothie to hold her over until we were done.

This was at The Bugs Life themed area. The benches we done in multi-colored popsicle sticks which were adorable. Darrin bought a churro and ended up having to go back for another, Reagan took over his.

Before we left the Adventure Park we watched the parade and it was probably my most favorite thing there. I love to see all the characters in action just walking around. I think I was more excited than some of the kids watching the parade, but they are just so neat. They look so real to even me and I am 27 years old!

We had a great time at Disney. Darrin and I kept saying we should have got the annual pass because it really was so much fun. It was crowded but not miserable. The place was very clean and so entertaining, maybe even just as entertaining for us adults than kids! Darrin said as we were walking around, "I think I am going to have more fun being a dad than being a kid." I thought that was so sweet, and so true. The expression on Reagan's face was just so sweet. You could tell she was having so much fun and was just so happy. That made the whole trip 100 times more worth it to see her light up.

I can't wait to go back again. I heard that you get in free if you go on your birthday and since my birthday is coming up in July maybe we will get to go again!
