About Me

Welcome to my blog! I am a wife and a Mommy of three. We have 2 daughters, Reagan and Hayden and a son, Grasyon. Here I write about our life happenings and try to capture memories the best I can. I hope this helps keep those close to us, in Texas, Iowa, Illinois, and beyond, a little more up to date while we're away. Enjoy!

Introducing Bradie Grace Batson!!

Another one of my best friends joined the Mommy club today! Bradie Grace Batson born June 30th, 3:52 p.m., 7 lbs 13 oz, 20 1/2 inches. She is absolutely perfect, just precious! For some reason I feel like she looks like Reagan when she was born, I think its the dark hair and skin, round face, long fingers and toes. So Reagan not only has a new BFF but a twin as well!

I am so happy for Carrie & Lee, I know they will make wonderful parents. I can't wait to come home and love on all these babies! Bradie you are so stinkin cute and I can not wait meet you. Reagan has been asking me when she is going to get to play with you, she already loves you so much! Be a good girl for your Mommy these next few weeks, she is learing too.

Can't wait to see you! Only 11 more days!

Poor Princess

Chances are if you see Reagan this is what she is doing, fussing or crying! Poor thing, I feel so bad for her, she is getting not one, not two but THREE top teeth. I have been giving her tylenol, motrin and using oragel as much as possible but I can see she is so uncomfortable. Here is a picture of her top tooth (and her crying). Only one is actually starting to come down, the other two have just cut through the gum.

Life is Peachy!

The weather has been great lately so we have been going down to the pool. The water is still a little to chilly for me, so basically Reagan and I just lay out. I always have a hard time trying to figure out what to do with her so that she is entertained, but I no longer have to wonder. I gave her a peach and she worked on it for over and HOUR! She loved it! She just sat there and chewed on it until it was down to the seed. She looked so cute! (sorry I had to post all the pictures, I just loved them all!)

We Love Daddy & New Teeth!

I forgot to add these 2 pictures to the Fathers Day post! Reagan and I were playing with sidewalk chalk waiting on Daddy to come home from work!

p.s. Guess who has a new tooth!!! I noticed today one has started breaking through on top. I will try to get a picture if I can!

Daddy's First Fathers Day!!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!! I love today because I feel like we can really show Darrin how special he is to us and let him know how grateful we are for all that he does. I always knew that my life with him would be wonderful, but I don't think I realized how much more wonderful it would become seeing him with Reagan. He is an amazing daddy and watching Reagan and him together fills me with happiness. He loves her so much and she lights up when he comes home. She loves to play with him and he has just as much fun playing with her. I can't wait to see the things they play when she is older; dress up, tea parties, anything she wants, (or he wants - softball, basketball, cars & trucks) Darrin loves to make her smile and to know that she is happy. He is so much fun to be around and Reagan just loves being with him. Who wouldn't, he is the coolest, most fun, most hottest, most funny, most happy Daddy there is and we are so lucky that he is ours. Thank you for not only being a wonderful husband, but an even better father.
We love you,
Reagan & Mommy

Their journey led them to love...which led them to marriage...which led to parenthood...which led her to wonder if one lifetime was long enough to share with this man she loved to love. So grateful for the dad you have become...so in love with the man you are.

Bye Bye Bumper

Last night we decided to go ahead and take out the crib bumper. Since she was throwing fits (which I must add, my princess is back and slept through the night) we thought it would be good to take the bumper out just in case she tried standing on it. However, I am not sure what is more pathetic, her bed without her cute bumper on it or the amount of time and money I put into finding the perfect one and it's already gone! Seriously, I think I searched for crib bedding for the entire 38 weeks I was pregnant and now it is already packed away and gone. Not only that, but her bed is lowered and just looks different. It doesn't look like that cute little baby bed that we once started out with. But most importantly, she is not screaming like before and if she does I don't have to worry about her bumper being in the way. I guess this just means she is growing up, I can't believe she will be a toddler in less than 2 months. Where has this year gone??

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday Dad! I wish we could be there to celebrate with you. We definitely will be there for the big one coming up! I hope you had a great day. We miss you so much and can't wait to see you! 25 days until your girls are back at home for a while! Reagan can't wait to play with her Grampa, she knows he is going to spoil her even more ROTTEN than she already is! We love you!

Day #2

So here is pretty much how my day went today.

8:00 Reagan wakes up - grumpy because she was up every 2 hours last night, she is still tired but not wanting to go back to bed
8:00-10:00 - Reagan has a bottle, some of my blueberry muffins, plays with her toys
10:00 - time for our routine nap, give her a bottle, rock her and lay her down
10:15 - she's up and screaming
10:30 - still screaming
10:45 - yes still screaming
11:00 - still screaming
11:15 -you guessed it still screaming
11:30 - its been and hour and a half and still she is screaming
11:45 - I fold and take her out, hold her
12:00 - realize my child just fought for almost 2 hours and still she missed her nap
1:00 - 3:30 - we eat, play, run a few errands, go to the pool
4:00 - time for nap #2, give her a bottle, rock her, and try to lay her down and......NOTHING. At this point I am not even going to fight her on her nap. I just bring her into the living room and let her play. Surprisingly enough she played well, by herself and wasn't whiny or clingy to me.
4:15 -6:30 - played, had some snacks and juice, went for a walk
7:00 - dinner
7:30 - bath
8:00 - bedtime - Daddy read to her, gave her a bottle and rocked her. Phew, shes FINALLY asleep. I am exhausted, I can't imagine how tired she is.
8:15 - she's UP and yes SCREAMING
9:30 - after an hour and 15 minutes of screaming, she fell asleep, wondering how the rest of the night is going to play out.

Just in case anyone wanted to know how my day was today, now you know! Reagan didn't take a single nap and fought me HARD every time. It's absolutely terrible listening to your baby cry and wanting nothing more for you to just come get them. Maybe by baby #2 I will become better at this tough love crap. Wish me luck tonight. I am hoping for some sleep and a easy night.

When I said she played it was mainly doing things like this: pulling everything out of my bag, taking all the toilet paper off the roll, basically getting into anything that wasn't hers!
