About Me

Oslo, Norway
Welcome to my blog! I am a wife and a Mommy of three. We have 2 daughters, Reagan and Hayden and a son, Grasyon. Here I write about our life happenings and try to capture memories the best I can. I hope this helps keep those close to us, in Texas, Iowa, Illinois, and beyond, a little more up to date while we're away. Enjoy!

My Sister's Pregnant!!

Finally, the news it out! I have been keeping that a secret for a loooong month and a half. Maybe I let it slip to a few people, but for those that know me, you know keeping a secret is a difficult thing to do. Especially one as exciting as this!

Remember back to my birthday post when I said, "just when I thought 2011 could not top 2010, I have already been proven wrong." Well, this is what I was referring to. My sister shared the news on my birthday that she was pregnant! And for my memories sake, I want to share how it all went down.

We spent the day at the beach celebrating my birthday and I get a bbm message from my sister. I can't remember exactly how it went but it was something like this. Sister - Sister, what are you doing? Me - We are at the beach, what are you doing? Sister - Not much, just hanging out. Ugh, I can't keep anything a secret from you. Me - Sis, you're pregnant. I know it. You're pregnant! Tell me your pregnant! Sis? You're Pregnant! Are you pregnant? I know it, you are!! Sister - How did you know?! Me - Oh my gosh, I am so excited!!! Can I call you?! Who all knows! Calling you in 2 minutes!

She sent me a picture of the positive pregnancy tests and said, "now you will soon know how much love I have for Reagan."

Then I called her and we talked for at least 30 minutes.

Now, it's been almost 6 weeks and we talk about that little peanut everyday. I could not be more excited for her and I know they are about to add more happiness into their lives than they could ever imagine.

I am so happy for you Sis. You will be a wonderful mom and now we will have even more to share in life. There is nothing better that being a mom (having a sister is pretty close) but now we will be able to share in the bond of being a mom. I will always be here to talk, I know the hormones during the 9 months can take a toll sometimes. I will always be here to listen and help guide you through this new journey. I am not saying I am a pro, just two kids ahead of you!

I can't wait to watch your belly grow. I love you and your little peanut so much!

Our Weekends Continued

I am continuing on from Wednesday's post. I had just waaay to many pictures to post all in one blog. However, I think they are all post worthy, so I must add the rest.

As soon as Grayson wakes up, Reagan's first response is, "I want to hold him." She has been this way since he was born, I thought surely by almost 7 months it would wear off, but she still wants to hold him.  I must say, not near as often, but she without a doubt, loves to hold her baby brother. (I am not sure her baby brother feels the same way.)

Can't you tell? Look at that smile.

I love these next pictures.  Best buds in the making.

I sense tons of black mail pictures in years to come. Poor Grayson, since Reagan is older I am afraid he will be forced to play whatever she wants to play. At least she let him be ken, right?

And why must all barbies clothes come off? I think all kids do this, but for sure Reagan does. And the second she finally gets them off, she wants them back on again. Why?

"Mom, I'm tired of playing barbies."

Sweet boy watching the rain.

I love to take pictures when they don't even realize I have the camera out. Just the two of them. In the moment. Laughing about nothing and loving on each other.

Oh yeah, back to weekend fun. Again, Darrin always comes up with the best ideas. Why ride you bike normal when you can have your Daddy pull you around on a rope?

Grayson's not crawling yet, or even close to it for that matter. I think he will walk before he crawls. Reagan didn't walk until almost 15 months, but I have a feeling this kid will walk early.

He's reaching, but I think it's going to be a while before he gets that belly up off the floor.

Big sister to the rescue.

Reagan either jumps in the bath with Grayson, or she help's give him a bath. Tonight, she chose to help.

And when she does, there is usually water on the entire bathroom floor.

These next pictures I know, were taken on a Saturday.

You want to know how I know it was a Saturday?

Check out that living room! (and my diet coke that is already gone before lunch time)

Every toy has been drug out at some point and is all over the floor.

These might be my most favorite pictures ever. If not my favorite, pretty close to it.

Looks like this night she chose to take a bath with him. Cutie pooties.

Sunday morning's there is always breakfast to be made. And anytime Darrin is in there, you can guarantee every pot and pan is dirty. Every spatula used. Every burner dirty. Every bowl, plate, cup, measuring spoon he can find, dirty.

But, whatever it is, it's always delicious.

There is usually some sort of tent/spaceship/fortress/boat made.

Which includes tons of fun.

This picture makes me laugh. Reagan has already moved on and Darrin is still playing with the camera.

Look at my big boy. Sit down, you are not old enough to stand up!

But I can say, we all love our lazy, fun Sundays spent together making memories.
